Welcome to Black & White World 2.0

January 1, 2008:

Black & White World, after several years in hibernation, is back.

We're back because, thankfully, a new generation is discovering black & white photography, both through traditional film/chemical process and via digital. Digital has made black & white more accessable to more people, and as new photographers are getting to know their cameras and software, the more they come to appreciate the aesthetic beauty of black & white.

And so, as Black & White World enters its twelfth year (!), we relaunch with a new look, a new focus and new energy. Our focus is on both the classic approach to black and white, where phtoographers load their cameras with film and develop and print the images themselves, and on digital, where photographers have so many options at their fingertips but need guidance to find the best way to "do it themselves."

If you are returning to Black & White World after a long absence, welcome back. If this is your first time, welcome, and feel free to look around. We're glad you are visiting!
